Description
Photograph of La Fiesta de Los Angeles parade, 1906. Main Street looking south from Seventh Street. About seven fancily dressed-up riders on horseback are in the image. A horse-drawn carriage is visible at left. Street car rails are visible in the road. Businesses and dwellings line the visible side of the street. Spectators look on from the sidewalk and from windows. Legible signs include: "'Watch for the round radiator' National Motor Cars", ..."Beach", "Real estate"..., "Herman C. Heinchen, housemoving and raising"..., "709½ Don Cisto 709½ boots & shoes made to order, repairing neatly done", "Harness shop", "787 Cigars & Fr[...] 787".
