Description
Photograph of a view of earthquake-damaged buildings, including the Temple Emanuel, in San Francisco, 1906. At center, a large brick building has been completely destroyed. Piles of rubble are visible in the middle of the building, and the walls have crumbled. There is evidence of fire damage as well. In the distance at center, a large cathedral is visible. It has two identical towers and rows of tall archways. Its roof has been damaged, and daylight can be seen through the front door.
