Description
Photograph of San Francisco earthquake damage, showing the ruins of City Hall, 1906. A single column still stands on the far right side of the building's remains while the upper portion of the walls and roof lie in the sea of debris on the ground. The dome can be seen on the left with its exterior wall stripped. Its statue depicting a woman holding a torch still stands in tact.
