Description
Photograph of a painting of a Spanish or California rancho cattle round-up or rodeo at the Ranco de Señor Francisco Serrano. One man with a lance on horseback chases a steer in the foreground. Three men (2 on horseback) stand near a group of 7 steers at left. Five men (4 on horseback) tend about 20 steers at right in the background. A group of 5 men look on at right. Numerous head of cattle dot the landscape near the horizon in the distance.; "No doubt this is a Spanish picture as the dress is definitely Spanish and not Californian." -- J. Arthur Woodward.
