Description
Photograph of the plaza in the Hopi Indian village of Shipaalvi (or Shipanabivi), ca.1901. Two-story adobe dwellings are visible at center beyond an empty plaza. About six ladders can be seen leaning against the adobe dwellings, and small piles of rocks can be seen against the base of the dwellings. In the middle of the plaza is a stone construction, possibly a well or water receptacle.
