Description
Photograph of an Alaskan Float for Los Angeles' La Fiesta Parade, ca.1894. A group of seven men dressed in white jockey suits and hats stand in front of a horse-drawn cart on top of which a fake igloo and ice formation have been built. Further to the right, a man in a hooded white robe stands in front of the four horses, which have been draped in white sheets with eye-holes cut out. The float is pictured on a patch of grass in front of a picket fence.
