Description
Photograph of the Pasadena Neigh (High?) School float at the La Fiesta Parade in Los Angeles, ca.1906. Seven women with light-colored dresses, all of whom are holding parasols, and one man in an nautical hat are seated in the highly decorated cart, which is drawn by horses. The cart is decorated by hanging vines of flowers, from the top of the cart down to the wheels, which are all but impossible to see under the decorations. A pole rises up from the center of the cart, decorated with flowers as well, along with a banner that reads "Pasadena", around which fake doves are positioned. Cords of flowers extend from the float. Other parade goers and signs are visible in the background. Legible signs include: "Hotel Watervine", "[...] 7th Street Property [...]", and "Carriage [...]".
