Photograph of Pima Indian woman carrying her baby on her back, Gila River Reservation, ca.1902. The woman can be seen from head to toe and is facing left with her head turned to face straight ahead. She is wearing a long dress with two different patterns on it. She has bangs, and her baby is strapped to her back. A few scattered trees, a house or two, scrub brush, and distant mountains are visible in the blurry background.
