Description
Photograph of a flower-decorated car and passengers created for the La Fiesta Parade, Los Angeles, ca.1908. The car, which faces left, has its entire chassis covered in flowers along with the spokes of its wheels. A young man in a dark suit and hat mans to the right of the front seat, while a young woman in white wears a garland and holds a pennant reading "1908". Three more similarly-dressed young women sit in the back seat beneath two parasols. The rear of another car is visible in the right background. The road below is unpaved and muddy.; Picture file card lists the passengers as the following: Harold Stern and Lililan Grass in the front seat, and Eulalie Grass (left) and Ellsie Stern (middle) in the back seat. The fourth girl appears to have gone unmentioned.
