Description
Photograph of exterior of a large, unidentified stone crusher, ca.1940. In the background at center, a large rectangular structure can be seen with an elongated ramp extending from the top of the structure to the left. A small, rectangular opening can be seen on one side of the building with two slanted beams visible in the entryway. On the other side of the building, a small cylindrical container is visible. A tube runs from the top of the structure to the container. A similar pipe is seen to the right on the building. Near the center of the building, a railed walkway can be seen supported by several buttresses. A rectangular opening is seen from the walkway, and a ladder is visible leading to another rectangular opening. Six small square windows are visible on one side of the structure with only one of the windows visibly open. A large metallic ramp is connected to the upper opening on the structure. The ramp is supported by a series of metallic beams and columns. The base of the ramp is obscured by a large mound of small rocks. In the extreme foreground, piles of small rocks are visible. In the extreme background, lines of trees stand near the structure with mountain ranges in the background.
