Description
Photograph of a neophyte at work on reconstruction of Mission San Luis Rey de Francia, California, 1904. He is wearing a Franciscan robe and sandals and pushing a wheelbarrow. His hat lays on the ground nearby. Low foundation walls lay out a grid on the ground around him. A long row of arches in the background is the most dominate large structure. A chair and two piles of lumber sit on the ground behind the monk.
