Description
Photograph of an old Havasupai Indian man telling stories to two other men sitting around a campfire, ca.1899. He sits crosslegged on the ground at left. The other two men sit on small objects (a rock?, a box?) close to the ground. They both wear hats; whereas the old man wears a cloth wrapped around his head. Behind them stands the rough lattice wood framework of a small dome-shaped structure. A vertical canyon wall is in the background.
