Description
Photograph of the entrance from the south to the church of Mission San Fernando, California, 1924. The arched entryway is blocked by a wooden gate. Two beams lay on the dirt floor at left. A metal basin (or two?) lays on the floor at right. Most of the plaster has cracked and fallen from the tall wall surrounding the entry, exposing the adobe brick construction beneath. A recessed arch forms a shallow alcove in the wall about 10 feet above the entry.
