Description
Photograph of an exterior view of a church at Cibolleta, New Mexico, ca.1898. The large rectangular building sports three wooden bell towers -- two smaller ones flanking a larger central one -- over the main entry overlooking the walled graveyard. Each tower is topped with a cross. Five people, possibly one or two families, stand in the graveyard near the open entry in which a few more people can be seen in the shadows. Picket fences and crosses mark three graves in the foreground. A few other smaller buildings can be seen behind and to the right. A hill rises in the background.
