Description
Photograph of construction of an addition to a native dwelling in a Hopi pueblo, ca.1900. A ladder to the roof leans against the first story of an adobe dwelling. A new room is being added on the roof adjacent to existing dwellings. Two native women stand near the door of the first story. A stovepipe pierces the roof overhead. A pile of pots sits on the roof at right. The legs of a man laying on the ground are visible at left.
