Description
Photograph of the Hollywood Club Banquet at Al Levy's Cafe, 1908. Sixy-eight men dressed in tuxedos pose along twho long banquet tables, five of them standing along the wall in back underneath the chandelier. In the center foreground, an older gentleman with thinning hair and a well-trimmed white beard sits slanted from the table and appears to be holding a cigarette butt in his left hand. The rest of the members appear to be in their thirties or forties. Each place at the table is set with a dinner plate and silverware, a water glass and a wine glass and a salad plate over which a decoratively folded napkin has been placed.
