Description
Photograph of an etched portrait of Sir Francis Drake, [s.d.]. Sir Drake is shown in bust, turned slightly to the left. He wears a pendant of some sort around his neck, as well as a ruffed collar. He has a triangular beard and pointed moustache, and appears to be in his mid-thirties or early fourties. A chiascuro effect appears to be implemented, as his clothes and hair blend into the dark background, thus accenting the pale of his face.
