Description
Photograph Strain's Camp on Mount Wilson, ca.1890. There is a small log cabin at right; a single window is visible at extreme right and the front door is blocked from view by the branches of a small tree. To the left, there is a large tent structure composed of several smaller tents. Further up the wooded slope of the mountain are two more tents, pitched next to each other. There is a low rock retaining wall along the front side of the camp, and a set of wooden log stairs lead down the mountain.
