Description
Photograph of the Great Western Gold Company smelter near Redding, [s.d.]. A group of large, lightly-colored, wooden structures appear to be connected at center with two tall, cylindrical pipes secreting smoke above them. A smaller structure stands on top of a dirt hill on the right and two identical, wooden frames of buildings stand above with a rocky hill behind them. Several more structure line the dirt road on the left and are surrounded by dark, wooded hills. A covered tunnel leads up a hill to a third pipe on the right while a raised track extends above the trees in the foreground.
