Title
View of Spear Street in Carson City, Nevada, ca.1935
Description
Photograph of a view of Spear Street in Carson City, Nevada, ca.1935. Electrical poles stand in front of the tall trees that line the sidewalk as well as shade the street. Structures that appear to be houses are connected by fences and can barely be seen through the many trees. In the background on the left an automobile is parked next to a tree while a second automobile can be seen in the distance.; Picture file card reads "Originally a stopping place on the emigrant trail to California. Later, in the 1860's and 70's, it became the great supply point for the Nevada mines. This is one of the old streets of the town -- Spear Street".
