Description
Photograph of students of the Florence School and their teacher, Mrs. McCausland, 1893. There are sixty-four students, both boys and girls, and an older woman at left, presumably Mrs. McCausland. They are posed in front of a clapboard building with a shuttered window at right. There is a tree in the background at left. The students are dressed nicely for the most part, although several boys sitting on the ground to the left are not wearing shoes. The words "Florence School 1894" are inscribed on the image at the bottom.
