Photograph of the Ontiveros (Ontivares) family and friends at the adobe home of Don Pacifico Ontiveros (Ontivares), 1925. Group is at the Santa Maria adobe. Horsemen at left: Senor Plummer (left), Felipe Avilla (right, the son of Felipe Avilla, grantee of Tajuanta Rancho). Seated with violin- Ascencio Rocha de Simon; with guitar- Pummer's daughter Mrs. Edmundo Ontiveros (Ontivares), son of Don Abram Ontiveros (Ontiveras) and grandson of Don Pacifico Ontiveros (Ontivares) (?). Man with arm against post is Don Abram Ontiveros (Ontivares). Lady seated with Mantilla is Mrs. Guzman, a granddaughter of Jose Antonio Rocha, patentee of Rancho La Brea, Los Angeles, and great granddaughter of Donna Eulalia Guillen-Perez, of San Gabriel Mission. Seated center of three ladies is Mrs. Abram Ontiveros (Ontiveras): lady seated to right is Mrs. Plummer; couple on right is Edmundo Ontiveros (Ontiveras) and Anita Simon, daughter of Mrs. Simon; girl seated is daughter of Mrs. Edmundo Ontiveros (Ontiveras) and granddaughter of Mr. Plummer.

Description
The nearly 15,000 unique photographs of this collection contain the work of C.C. Pierce which cover the Los Angeles region city, street and architectural views, California Missions, Southwestern Native Americans, and turn-of-century Nevada, Arizona, and California. Pierce, active from 1886 to 1940, was one of the leading photographers of his day and amassed a collection of 15,000 images, including his own and those bought and copied from his contemporaries, George Wharton James and Charles Puck. The James collection contains over 2,000 images of portraits, customs, ceremonies, arts, and games of various groups of Southwestern Native Americans.
