Description
Photograph of the ruins of the Mission Soledad, showing a corral, San Diego, ca.1898. The collapsing adobe walls of the mission can be seen in the right distance, their doorway facing to the right. No roof is visible, and all of the spackle has eroded away, showing the brick beneath. The top edges of the walls appear worn and broken. In the left foreground, a large tree stands in front of what appears to be a corral, which is delineated by a circle of barbed-wire fence. Sedge grass covers the surrounding terrain.
