Description
Photograph of four Lear Corporation Research and Development Division workers at work, September 1950. Four men gather around a table, and appear to examine a single device. The man in the middle sits, and holds the device in his left hand, while the other three bend slightly to look at it. The man at right points a pencil, gesturing towards the machine bit. On the desk, what appears to be a day calendar sits beside a pen holder and other papers.; Photoprint indentifies the men in the photo from lef to right as: David J. Green; Charles J. Breitwieser, Kenneth M. Miller, and H. Nils Eklund.

Description
The more than 3,600 unique photographs of this collection document the Chamber's promotional efforts during the city's early years. In addition to stock photographs, there are pictures of the elaborate booths and displays that the Chamber prepared for use at state fairs and international trade shows. The photographic collection contains images showing the growth of important municipal enterprises, such as ground transportation systems, aviation, and shipping. In addition there are about 1,000 lantern slides in this collection -- not yet fully digitized.
