Description
Photograph of a view of Crystal Springs Lake, San Mateo County, 1937. At right, an elevated road wends along the hillside, while at left the lake is visible. Two houses can be seen at the apex of the hill at right. This lake was the water supply for San Francisco where the Hetch Hetchy line emptied. Three of the camp sites of the Portola expedition were nearby.
