Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Mission Santa Barbara, ca.1880. The mission can be seen to the right distance, standing two stories tall. The two bell towers that flank the entrance can be seen, as well as the bricks in the broad unspackled side of the building. A post-and-rail fence stretches in from the left foreground along a dirt path that runs towards the mission. A field and two one-story adobes in disrepair can be seen to the left. Some sort of broken kiln stands on the hill in the right foreground. The city can be seen in the distance.
