Photograph of an exterior view of the United Aircraft Products plant, March 1941. The building can be seen at cener. There is a light-colored, one-story section of the building in the foreground, and a long, two-story brick section that stretches into the background. Large banks of windows can be seen on both sections. An automobile can be seen in the foreground at left, while two men are visible in the foreground at right.

Title Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection 1890-1960

Description The more than 3,600 unique photographs of this collection document the Chamber's promotional efforts during the city's early years. In addition to stock photographs, there are pictures of the elaborate booths and displays that the Chamber prepared for use at state fairs and international trade shows. The photographic collection contains images showing the growth of important municipal enterprises, such as ground transportation systems, aviation, and shipping. In addition there are about 1,000 lantern slides in this collection -- not yet fully digitized.
