Description
Photograph of the residence of Don Dolores Yorba, 1899. The one-story house has a covered porch in front where the family enjoys the shade. Dona Altagracia Yorba sits on the left edge of the porch in a dark dress with her hair tied in a bun as she makes Spanish drawnwork. Her supplies and a equipment stand beneath the window behind her. Her father stands against a support beam of the porch at center in a lightly-colored shirt, dark vest and hat. Don Adolfo Manriquez sits in a wooden chair behind him. The lightly-colored paint of the house is peeling and plants hang from the falling edge of the roof. A small, damaged, wooden fence stands on the far left while long fences separate the residence from another house in the background on the right.; "Dona Altagracia Yorba making Spanish drawnwork on old loom in front of her father's house. Standing is her father "El Chapo" Don Dolores Yorba. Seated is Don Adolfo Manríquez." -- A. Yorba
