Description
Photograph of a flower decked auto in a (Fiesta?) parade, ca.1930. A car covered in flowers sits at the curb of a paved street in the center. Two men sit in the front wearing English court-style wigs while two women sit in back holding lightly colored umbrellas. A pile of feces sits on the road in the left foreground. A house with rounded archways and striped awnings can be seen behind the car while the heads of a cluster of people are barely visible at the edge of the street.

The photographic collection contains images showing the growth of important municipal enterprises, such as ground transportation systems, aviation, and shipping. In addition there are about 1,000 lantern slides in this collection -- not yet fully digitized.
