Title
Single transmission tower, showing employees working on it, ca.1950
Description
Photograph of a single transmission tower, showing employees working on it, ca.1950. In the background to the right, a large transmission tower is visible. The tower is composed of several metallic bars and crossbeams. Four legs can be seen at the base of the tower lodged into the rocky surface below. Near the top of the tower, two workers can be seen. One worker leans against one of the beams, while the other stands on a beam below. At the top of the tower, two electrical wires can be seen moving to both the left and the right. The wires moving to the left drop down near a group of rocks on the far left side of the image. A group of three men can be seen standing near the rocks on this side. In the extreme foreground, fields of dirt and sand can be seen. Additionally, long poles and other materials are visible at the base of the mountain.
