Description
Photograph of a panoramic view of Rhyolite, Nevada, showing hills in the distance, ca.1900. The low buildings of a mining town are clustered in the center of the image at a great distance from the camera. Horses and a few other buildings sit on a stretch of dirt that may be a road, closer to the camera. The surrounding land is desert-like, with low, scrubby plants scattered throughout the dirt or sand and large hills rising in the background.
