Photograph of a view of the intersection of Seventh Street and Broadway, Los Angeles, ca.1943. The intersection can be seen in the foreground at center. Tall, multi-story buildings line both sides of the street, and several streetcars can be seen in the middle of the roads. Automobiles can be seen parked on the roads. Many pedestrians can be seen on the sidewalks the line the streets.; Legible signs include, from left: "Loew's State", "Judy Garland", "Skelton", "E. Powell", "[...]nds Cheer", "Desmonds", "Newsreels", "Brooks", and "Bank of America".

California Historical Society Collection, 1860-1960
Description
The California Historical Society Collection is incomparable for the documentary picture it provides of the growth of Southern California, particularly the development of the Los Angeles region, between 1860 and 1960. The collection contains more than 25,000 photographs. The full archive was placed on long-term deposit at USC in 1990 and includes the Title Insurance and Trust Company Collection, also known as TICOR, and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection.
