Description
Photograph of a birdseye view of Saratoga and the Santa Clara Valley, California, on the First Blossom Festival Day, ca.1900. A short, wooden fence stands in the foreground with light trees behind it on the left and dark trees on the right. Just behind those trees, many rows of lightly-colored trees cover a small field at center with a road the emerges from the right running behind them. Just beyond are the many lightly-colored buildings of the city including what appears to be a church on the left. A field can be seen in the background on the right while more homes stand on the left. Photoprint reads: "Sky blue on such as will best bring out the white blossoms of the valley with the light purple mountains".
