Description
Photograph of a view of four miners working in an unidentified location in California, ca.1900. The four miners are at center and are looking at the viewer. They are standing in a large hole that has been dug out of a rocky hill. A small cart can be seen on a set of metal rails at right. Two large wooden frames with wire mesh inside are standing up between the miners, and a large pile of gravel can be seen. Tall mountains are visible in the background at left.
