Description
Photograph of exterior of large factory, showing parking lot full of employees, ca.1940. In the background at center, the large exterior of a factory can be seen. The roof of the factory is primarily flat with six small areas that form sloping peaks. Several windows line the side of the building, and four automobiles can be seen parked directly in front of the structure on the left. A large portion of the image is blocked by a large tree found at the center of the dirt lot. At least four cars are seen huddled beneath the shade of the tree. Several wires pass through the branches of the tree and extend into the foreground. To the right of the tree, groups of men can be seen standing next to another line of automobiles. All of the men appear to be wearing slacks, and many of them also wear ties or semi-formal attire. To the right of the group, another group of men stand next to a small building adjacent to the large factory. A small ice cream truck sits to the right of these men. In the extreme background, groups of trees and a mountain range can be seen.

Description
The more than 3,600 unique photographs of this collection document the Chamber's promotional efforts during the city's early years.
