Description
Photograph of racing outriggers (native surfboats) at Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head, Honolulu, Hawaii, 1898. Three outriggers are rowed by natives in the shimmering water while the shoreline lies across the background. Buildings line the beach on the left where a pier extends out over the water. Trees stand behind the buildings on the left and continue around the shoreline to the far right. A mountain stands behind them at center.
