Description
Photograph reproduced from a book showing the intersection of Fifth and Spring Streets in Los Angeles, ca.1904. Several vertical poles are visible, and suspended from these is a network of street lamps hung from wires. This corner was later the site of the Hotel Alexandria. A partially obscured caption at the bottom of the image reads "The upper photograph shows the corner as it was in 1904.
