Description
Sister cities, Canoga Park, Los Angeles, 1980 (restored 1992). 7123 Remmet Avenue (near Sherman Way), Canoga Park. The theme of international harmony is illustrated by the sister-city conection between Canoga Park and the historic Mexican city of Taxco. Members of the artist's family appear in a group portrait in the center of the wall. The assistant was a student at Canoga Park High School. Liquitex acrylic on masonry, 40' x 15', by Alfredo Diaz Flores, assisted by Felix Manchaca. Sponsored by Canoga Park Chamber of Commerce. -- Dunitz, Street gallery, p. 138, #21.
