Detail of Our history/Toward freedom, Van Nuys, 1993. Valley Cities Jewish Community Center, exterior, 13164 Burbank Boulevard (between Fulton and Coldwater Canyon avenues), Van Nuys. Based on the themes of Exodus (exit), Passover (liberation), and Seder (celebration), the mural is about remembering, especially the ways in which Jewish history intersects with the experience of other groups. Acrylic, by John Pitman Weber. Sponsored by Social and Public Art Resource Center. -- Dunitz, Street gallery, rev. 2nd ed., p. 151, #65.
