Description Filipino Americans: a glorious history, a golden legacy, Echo Park, 1995, U.S. Postal Service Annex, exterior, 1660 Beverly Boulevard, Echo Park. Four thousand years of Filipino and Filipino-American history. The design is divided into two part. The first is historical, leading up to the awakening of Filipino national and political consciousness. The second part is dominated by a huge bird with significant Filipino American on its wings, the farmworkers on the bottom, and the youth and community on the right. The mural faces a large community garden. Acrylic, 140' x 20', by Eliseo Art Silva. Sponsored by SPARC. -- Dunitz, Street gallery,  rev. 2nd ed., p. 111, #27.
