Detail 1 of 4 of Return of the Maya, Cypress Park, Los Angeles, 1979, 3400 block of North Figueroa Street (near Amabel Street), Cypress Park. "Dedicated to the 5th cycle of mankind and the 2nd coming of Quetzalcoatl which comes August 9, 1990." Bandit dogs and portraits of local youth. Acrylic on concrete, originally 200' x 18' (smaller now as some has been replaced--see #30 and #33), by John Valadez, Carlos Almaraz, and local youth. Sponsored by CMP. -- Dunitz, Street gallery, p. 115, #9.
