Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Mission San Juan Bautista, in the garden, ca.1900. Three short, slim trees stand in the left foreground while a tall shrub is visible farther back to the right, under which a chicken can be seen. The cloister is visible in the background, a long adobe building with a terracotta-tiled roof. Its spackle is coming off in stops and a roof beam appears to be leaning against it to the left of center. A stack of trimmed lumber is partially visible to the right. Mountains are visible in the right distance. The ground in front appears dry, and is covered with debris.
