Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the ranch house of Santa Rita Ranch, showing part of an old adobe incorporated into a newer home in Monterey County, 1938. The large ranch house on a hill is shown from a distance, comprised of three sections: a long section at center flanked by two smaller sections positioned at right angles. In the foreground, a picket fence is shown at the base of the hill, while farther in shrubbery obscures most of the house. Hills are visible in the background.; Picture file card reads "Was one of the early Mexican grants lying inland from the ocean near the summit of the road to Cambria...".
