Description
Gravestones and crosses of youth killed in gang violence, untitled, East Los Angeles, 1970. Ken's Market, exterior, 531 South Bonnie Beach Place (at 6th Street), East Los Angeles. Gravestones, crosses, and the names of youth killed in gang violence are major ingredients of this mural. It was originally put up as a memorial, and over the years many additional names have been added. Acrylic on stucco, 40' x 12', by Bill Butler and local youth. Sponsored by "Lil Valley Youth and Parents Association. -- Dunitz, Street gallery, p. 286, #5.
