Description
El sol naciente (The rising sun), Long Beach School for Adults, 1990; 1794 Cedar Street (at Pacific Coast Highway), exterior facing parking lot. Surrealist landscape with palm trees as well as imaginary plants based on the Mexican maguey cactus. The artist credited Paul Gauguin as an important influence. In acrylic, 12' x 20' by Georges Le Chevallier -- Dunitz, Street gallery, rev. 2nd ed., p. 261, #38.
