Description
The pride of our heritage, Commerce, 1983. TELACU Industrial Park, 5400 East Olympic Boulevard (at Goodrich Boulevard), [Commerce]. Using symbolism and a style that resembles stained glass, this mural covers the history of the Mexican American people from before the conquest of Mexico by Cortez to contemporary East Los Angeles. Ceramic tile, 37' x 23', designed by Frank Martinez, executed by Jose-Luis Gonzalez of Goez Studio. Sponsored by TELACU. -- Dunitz, Street gallery, p. 316, #65.
