Description
Storytellers, Long Beach, 1991, NQ Market, exterior, 14th Street and Peterson Avenue. Portraits of three older women -- a Mexican, a Cambodian and an African. Those are the ethnicities of the people living in this neighborhood. Besides each portrait are symbols of their cultures, including native plants, textiles and crafts. A Mural Mentor Project. In acrylic on plywood, 3 panels, approximately 8' x 12 each by Elizabeth Garrison with assistance from Dareth Morm and Michelle Salcedo. Sponsored by Long Beach Community Development Department and the Long Beach Parks and Recreation Department -- Dunitz, Street gallery, rev. 2nd ed., p. 261, #40.
