Title
Labor solidarity has no borders, Los Angeles, 1990
Description
Labor solidarity has no borders, Los Angeles, 1990, Southern California Library for Social Studies and Research, exterior, 6120 South Vermont Avenue (between 61st and 62nd Streets). Working people of different nationalities are shown heading from Los Angeles to the well-fortified U.S.-Mexican border. Meanwhile, bosses from various local industries watch in horror as their profits are threatened. A green slimy monster, symbolizing the system of international capitalism, tries to guard their wealth. In acrylic, 42' x 12' by Mike Alewitz with assistance from Juan Garcia, Mauricio Cabrera, Elden Bookhart and Lydia Velasquez. Sponsored by SPARC -- Dunitz, Street gallery, rev. 2nd ed., p. 216, #38.
