Title Name Falls in Hinole, Hawaii, [s.d.]

Description Photograph of Name Falls in Hinole, Hawaii, [s.d.]. In the extreme foreground at left and right, a cluster of trees can be seen beside a large opening at center. At the bottom of the opening, a large pool of water can be seen beside mountain cliffs. Along one of the cliff walls, a thin waterfall can be seen running into the large pool below. At the top of the waterfall, a supported track can be seen. The track extends along the base of the mountains on the left and right. In the extreme background, large mountain ranges can be seen extending from left to right. Additional supported tracks are visible between the mountain ranges. Caption at bottom of image reads: "Name Falls, Hinole, Hawaii Hamakua".

Title Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection 1890-1960

Description The more than 3,600 unique photographs of this collection document the Chamber's promotional efforts during the city's early years. In addition to stock photographs, there are pictures of the elaborate booths and displays that the Chamber prepared for use at state fairs and international trade shows. The photographic collection contains images showing the growth of important municipal enterprises, such as ground transportation systems, aviation, and shipping. In addition there are about 1,000 lantern slides in this collection -- not yet fully digitized.
