Description
Photograph of a dynamited building on Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco, 1906. A pile of debris is all that remains of the building on the left. The bricks have spilled over into the street in the foreground as well as around the bases of the surrounding buildings. The buildings on the right are heavily damaged, some with only single walls remaining. Trees stand on the far left with more earthquake-damaged buildings behind them.
